Introduction

Phantom of the Opera- Lizard

We were a power couple right from the start. From the first date we knew we were going to be together for a long time to say the least. We were both crazy in so many ways and crazy in love. Although opposites attract and we are opposite in many ways, it's still important to create similarities, hobbies, tasks, something you both love and share. I was a gymnast, working as a gymnastics and dance teacher. He at the time just finished college as a psychology major and was a boxer. Our only real similarities were that we loved sports and we loved each other.

He started playing a game called DOTA 2. If you aren't familiar with the game, no worries, it's not the most important part here. The basis is it's a game, there's lots of heroes or characters you can choose to play and all the heroes or characters are very different in what they can do and their abilities, voices, etc. The point here is as we both started bonding through our liking for this game, it took a small, funny, but interesting bond in our life. Our 1 year anniversary was themed with DOTA 2 gifts.

Soon after, we wanted to create something we both , love, can take responsibility for, can share, and can take care of together. Kind of like the step before having kids together. So instead of getting a dog or a cat we decided something more unique. Since I already had a dog, and over 50 fish, and he was a pet lover who had dogs, cats, birds, fish, and anything else in between in the past, we wanted to try something we weren't both familiar with. Lizards.

Here is how the DOTA 2 craze meets Lizard craze. We got our first lizard, He was a Bearded Dragon. We decided since naming our future real kids after DOTA 2 heroes was a bit crazy, giving all your lizards names from heroes in the game was less crazy. So here our empire started.

Our first ever Bearded Dragon, His name is Pudge. When watching him gobble up his crickets it really reminded us of some of the skills that Pudge uses in the game. His skills include hooking an enemy closer to him (kind of like how a bearded dragon swoops his tongue out and magically pulls in the cricket or roach or worm into his mouth.) The Character also has a key phrase he yells: "Fresh Meat." Which is kind of what we always imagined Pudge saying when he saw his feeding container.

So to make the long story short. From there our craziness began. Next came 2 leopard geckos: Viper and Veno-mancer (Vena for short) Viper is a boy and Vena is a girl.

Our last lizard as of now is our newest edition. She is our pride and joy. Lina. She is a firey spirit, incredibly beautiful and rare, Bearded Dragon. She is a combination of genetic beauty: hypomelanistic, translucent, dunner, leatherback and all beautiful! Please meet Lina!
